Persistent Infection!

Hello there!

p>I am looking for a javascript programmer to help create three interactive prototypes for my upcoming NFB film, The Persistent Infection. I am sorry,  but the candidate must Canadian.

A little about me: I am an animator and illustrator based out of Montreal. I helped make a film a few years ago, called “I Met the Walrus” which was nominated for an Oscar, won an Emmy, and was awarded the Youtube/Guggenheim prize. I have since worked on a few bits with the NFB, including a stint in the Hothouse program, but this is my first time working on a larger project with the National Film Board.

We will also have the amazing James Paterson of working as the interactive director on this project. He wont’ be coding, but he will be the cyber mage who will help guide us towards the mystical interactive Valhalla.

What I am looking for: I am hunting for a javascript programmer who is comfortable working with animation timelines and the HTML Canvas element. Perhaps this person is a former flash programmer who has moved over to javascript. These interactive pieces will be played both on computers as well as on touch enabled devices.

When does this all begin?:Well, I would like it to start soon. In my ideal world, I would like to have these three prototypes done for late March/early April 2013.

It would be ideal if the programmer was based out of Montreal, but it is not completely necessary. We can always plan and scheme via Skype.

And, just so you know, there is a budget for this gig.
